Bhavas
‘Bhava’ translates to attitude or feeling. Whilst on the path of yoga there are attitudes we must develop in order to be successful. These attitudes include Dharma, Jnana, Vairagya, and Aishwarya. Each yoga asana pertains to a different bhava. As we go deeper into our yoga practice we can embody these attitudes on the mat. Over time, yoga continues off the mat and we can start living with these attitudes in our day to day life. Cultivating the bhavas on and off the mat allows us to achieve the goal of yoga and progress on our spiritual journeys.
Dharma - Duty
Jnana - Wisdom
Vairagya - Detachment
Aishwarya - Self reliance
